Earth Basics is a social enterprise arising out of the field work of environmental NGO Mumbai Sustainability Centre to create farmer-consumer links, do research on the conditions in which crops are cultivated and provide better incomes for the farmers while ensuring healthier soil.
We have made a beginning with tur dal a staple of Indian diet. Harvest 2020-21 has started. Between the last week of December and 20th January all the standing crop of dal is harvested.
